The travel agency BEST TRAVEL was founded in Rethymno, Crete 12 years ago with the aim of providing comprehensive travel services of high quality.
There is a complete business tourism department that offers, in addition to the classic hotel or airline ticket reservations and additional services such as, the organization of conferences and incentives which it undertakes, from their design to their completion.
Today, the new business field of the globalized market, which is characterized by rapid technological developments, is a special challenge for us.
This is how we set new goals, always based on the human dimension of professionalism, which, among other things, include the online connection with all the travel agencies that work with us.
The founder of BEST TRAVEL is Mr. Nikos Makras who is a graduate of the Superior School of Tourist Professions in Rhodes Island and was for 40 years the General Director of large hotel units on the island of Crete.
The company is run by the Makra’s family, with whom he collaborates from the position of Product & Marketing Director and Mr. Yiannis Siamitros is also a graduate of the Superior School of Tourist Professions in Rhodes Island and also for 40 years General Director of large hotel units on the islands of Crete, Santorin, Evvoia as well as in and Athens

For the last 30 years, he has been working in 4 * & 5 * hotels in Greece, as a General Manager with consistency and enthusiasm and has built a strong professional career in the fields of hotel management, sales and marketing in the tourism industry.
Has excellent contacts with all major travel agents represented in Crete, extensive experience in marketing and online hotel sales in the tourist market (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotel-beds etc.) and also has an excellent experience in the training and organization of the staff of the Room Division and F&B departments.
At the same time he was involved in the planning of the operation, management, implementation and control of the hotels he worked for.
